Do I need insurance to rent a boat?

No. The Boat Owner is entirely responsible for ensuring the vessel, and also making sure it is safe, secure, and in compliance with our Terms of Service.

Any insurance inquiries should be handled directly between you, the Renter, and the Boat Owner, as states and countries have different regulations, laws & policies. Sailo does not and will not provide advice on either insurance or compliance with legislation and other legal requirements.
