Immediate upon booking confirmation of an accepted booking request by both the Owner and the Captain, the full amount of the rental plus a minimum $500 security deposit meant to cover any incidental damage or lost items will either be charged on the Renter’s credit card or Sailo will use its commercially reasonable efforts to obtain a pre-authorization of the Renter’s credit card in the amount determined for the Security Deposit within a reasonable time prior to the Renter’s check-in at the applicable Owner’s Boat.
In the case a claim is filed by the Owner, the security deposit will be held until the claim is resolved.
If no claims have been made within 18 hours after the rental period, the security deposit will be refunded to the Renter.
In case of any additional expenses or damage above the deposit amount, Sailo may decide to charge the Renter’s credit card. Should a Renter object, he/she must notify Sailo in writing within 30 days of the date on which the charge occurred.
