Sailo platform allows the Boat Owners to set up installment plans, but the decision to have an installment plan belongs entirely to the Boat Owner.
Once you find the boat you would like to rent, and if your trip date is more than 17 days in the future you will have the option to choose to pay in full or pay in installments (if an installment plan is available).
If you select the option to Pay in installments, the installment amount(s) and due date(s) will be displayed on your checkout page. Once your booking is accepted by the Boat Owner, the first installment will be automatically charged to your credit card. The rest of the installments are scheduled and will be charged automatically to your credit card on the due date. During the period between the first installment charge and the second (or third), you have the option to change the method of payment on file. You also have the option to pay your remaining installments before due date - read Can I pay an installment before its due date? FAQ for more information.
The last installment due date will be set no less than 10 days prior to the start trip date, depending on the Boat Owner settings. In case you would like to inquire about possible changes to the installment plan, please contact us at bookings@sailo.com.
