How do I set or change the refundable security deposit for my boat?

Go to your account > Boats Account, select the boat you want to set up the refundable security deposit for and click on Insurance on the left side menu. Add or change the security deposit amount and choose the Payment time. When you choose the Payment time “At Booking”, Sailo will place the hold on the refundable security deposit on the Renter’s credit card  3 days before the trip or at the time of booking, whichever comes last.  Sailo will release the funds within 48 hrs absent any incidentals. 

When you choose the Payment time “At base”, the Renter will pay the refundable security deposit directly to you, on the day of the trip, before embarking on the boat. We recommend discussing the details of the type of payment you require (cash, credit card, etc) beforehand so the Renter will come prepared.
