Yes, you have the option to set the security deposit “payable at booking” or “payable at base”. If you set it up as “payable at booking”, Sailo will manage the hold on the refundable security deposit on the Renter’s credit card. If you choose the option “payable at base”, then the Renter will pay the refundable security deposit directly to you or the Captain on the day of the trip, before embarking on the boat. We recommend discussing the details of the type of payment you require (cash, credit card, etc) beforehand, so the Renter will come prepared.
